“Moreb Desert Race - UAE”

Despite spending 21 years in the UAE, I only discovered the Moreb Dune Race in 2022—and it was an absolute spectacle. This wild event takes place in the Moreb Desert during New Year’s Eve week, where massive, heavily modified pickup trucks battle to conquer one of the tallest dunes in the region. Experiencing it with a group of good friends made it even more special. What struck me most wasn’t just the roaring engines and raw power of the races, but the sheer scale of the crowd—the energy, the music, the dancing, and the festival-like atmosphere. Capturing glimpses of this adrenaline-fueled tradition through my lens was an unforgettable experience.
